The tournament saw KCB Rugby complete a four-peat after seeing off a resurgent Daystar Falcons 20-10 in the final that served all the ingredients of a mouth-watering clash.
KCB Rugby
KCB’s success was built on a wide spread of scorers. Kenya Sevens’ ace Festus Shiasi was their most outstanding contributor, scoring five tries and 16 kickable points, making it 41 points.

He was strongly supported by reliable back Brian Wahinya, who scored three tries and 14 kickable points to reach 29 points.
Other scorers like Bob Muhati with four tries, Samwel Asati, Michael Wekea, Floyd Wabwire, and Elvis Olukusi with three tries each added valuable attacking depth.
Even the tournament’s Most Valuable Player (MVP), Vincent Onyala, Jenkins Kipruto, and Austin Sikutwa chipped in with two tries each, while Stephen Osumba added two kickable points.
This balance between try scorers and kickers gave KCB the complete edge, propelling them to the title.
Kabras RFC
For the Sugarmen, it was a story of both precision kicking and try-scoring power.
The star of their side was youngster Rayvon Ambale, who combined five tries with 22 kickable points to tally 47 overall, making him one of the tournament’s best.
Around him, the Kabras attack was lethal, with William Mwanji, Kevin Wekesa, and Mathias Osimbo each scoring five tries to register 25 points apiece.
Fast-rising star Michael Lukusi added three tries and eight kickable points to finish on 23, while Biden Hayo scored three tries for 15 points.

Brian Mutua and Brian Tanga also chipped in with two tries each. Kabras were consistent throughout but fell in the semifinals to end their title hunt.
Strathmore Leos
The students relied on the individual brilliance of Victor Odhiambo, who was the tournament’s top scorer. Mola ran in an incredible 10 tries to give him 50 points overall.
Supporting him were Samuel Wafula and Shem Okola, who scored four and three tries respectively, while Nygel Amaitsa also managed three tries.
Interestingly, Wafula came in off the bench in every match, but he did not fail to make an impact.
The team’s architect, Arnold Muita, added one try and eight kickable points to bring his tally to 13, showing the Leos’ kicking options.
Other contributors included Barnabas Owuor, Gabriel Ayimba, Stanslaus Shikoli, and Collins Maina, with a try each.
Menengai Oilers
The Oilers showcased depth across the park. Beldad Ogeta led their charts with six tries for 30 points, while reliable winger Daniel Kipchirchir followed with five tries to also reach 25.

Their kicking was handled by Eric Ogutu, who contributed 18 kickable points, and Glacious Owino, who had 16, both proving reliable with the boot.
Together with tries from players like Roy Maruti and Philip Okeyo, the Oilers looked balanced and dangerous, though they lost to Daystar Falcons in the quarterfinals.
Nakuru RFC
For Nakuru RFC, the talisman was Javan Otieno, who scored six tries and six kickable points to reach 36 overall.
His all-round attacking presence gave Nakuru hope in every match. Fidel Wekesa and Chrisant Ojwang’ both added three tries each for 15 points apiece, while Felix Okoth, Josephat Njunye, and Joel Mboya scored two tries each to finish on 10 points.

Daystar Falcons
The Daystar Falcons delivered moments of flair but could not string them together consistently.

Clinton Amukwachi led their tally with five tries, making 25 points, while Patrick Odongo followed with four tries for 20. Eddy Wambugu contributed three tries and six kickable points to reach 21, while Tonny Ogoma added three tries for 15.

MMUST Rugby
MMUST RFC depended largely on Veron Kaburu, who scored four tries and added six kickable points, making 26 points.
Josephat Omulefu and Ryan Makaka scored two tries each for 12 and 10 points respectively, while Collins Ngoko, Bevon Okoth, and Donald Litali each managed a try.
Beyond Kaburu’s contributions, MMUST struggled to match the pace of the stronger teams, failing to make it past the group stage.
