Dala Sevens is widely regarded as one of the most electric stops on the local Sevens calendar
The 2025 National Sevens Circuit will reach its climax this weekend as the action shifts to Kisumu for the Dala Sevens, scheduled for 13-14 September at the Jomo Kenyatta International Stadium in Mamboleo.
The tournament has received a boost after Tusker, the flagship brand of Kenya Breweries Limited, unveiled a Kshs 3 million sponsorship package.

With the series title on the line, all eyes will be on KCB RFC and Strathmore Leos, the two teams still in contention for the overall crown.
KCB, who sit top of the log on 104 points after five rounds, require only a quarterfinal appearance to seal the championship, regardless of whether the second-placed Leos, currently on 95 points, claim the Kisumu leg.
Dala Sevens, hosted by Kisumu RFC, is widely regarded as one of the most electric stops on the local Sevens calendar, known for its passionate crowds and fierce rivalries. Tusker’s involvement is a continuation of its long-standing support for Kenyan rugby and celebration of local sporting talent.
Tusker Brand Sports Manager, Keza Mpyisi, said the company was proud to be part of the series.
“Rugby is a sport close to the hearts of many Kenyans. Being part of the Dala Sevens and the wider circuit allows us to celebrate not just the game, but the remarkable talent and passion our athletes display. We believe our contribution will make this year’s finale even more successful,” she noted.
Kisumu RFC Chairman Gabriel Ouma welcomed the partnership, praising Tusker for their sustained backing.
“We are truly grateful to KBL for this generous sponsorship. Their support continues to elevate the Dala Sevens experience for both players and supporters. We anticipate a huge turnout this weekend as fans come to witness top-class rugby in Kisumu,” he said.
