Kabras RFC are set to face Catholic University of East Africa (CUEA) Monks yet again at Dala Sevens, slated for Saturday, 13 to Sunday, 14 September at the Mamboleo Showground in Kisumu.

Matthias Osimbo opened the scoring before William Mwanji grabbed a brace, with Biden Hayo also adding to the tally.

The Monks managed a consolation through Hassan Wambani, the first try Kabras conceded in this tournament.

Kabras, the Dala 7s defending champions, will be looking to improve on their performance from the Kabeberi 7s, where they finished third.

The Carlos Kaytwa-coached side narrowly fell 21-17 to KCB in the semifinals to drop to third-place, where they edged Strathmore Leos.

They will be joined in Pool A by hometown neighbours Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (MMUST) Rugby and Nakuru RFC in what will be the final leg of the 2025 National 7s Circuit.

In Pool B, Kabeberi 7s finalists Daystar Falcons will face off with Mombasa RFC, Kenya Harlequin, and Kabeberi 7s Division Two champions Nondies RFC.

The Falcons, fresh from their maiden final appearance, will be looking to go a step further.

They have been bolstered by the return of speedster Patrick Odongo and their fast-rising star Eddy Wambugu, who will combine forces to propel the side to victory.

Quins, who failed to reach the quarterfinals, will also be looking to improve.

During the Kabeberi 7s, their main players were reportedly on go-slow for alleged unpaid wages, and it is a matter of wait and see if the matter will be settled on time for Dala 7s.

Nondies, who competed in Division Two of the Kabeberi 7s, will also be out to make a statement.

Four-peat Kabeberi 7s champions KCB Rugby are in Pool C, where they will lock horns with Kabeberi 7s hosts Mwamba RFC, Homeboyz, and Embu RFC.

KCB and Mwamba faced off at the Kabeberi 7s quarterfinals, where the latter edged the hosts 35-7. Embu and Homeboyz will be hoping to improve on their Kabeberi 7s showing.

Dala 7s hosts Kisumu RFC, are in Pool D together with Menengai Oilers, Strathmore Leos, and resurgent Impala RFC.

Oilers head into the final leg as wounded lions following their not-so-good Kabeberi 7s performance, where they were knocked out by Falcons in the quarterfinals.

The Leos, who also fell to the Falcons in the semis, will also be eyeing improved performance.

Impala finished ninth during the Kabeberi 7s and will be looking to end the circuit on a positive note.
