Leicester are looking to bounce back after suffering relegation to EFL League One earlier this year and have already shifted focus towards mounting a strong promotion challenge in a bid to secure an immediate return to England's top flight.
The Foxes signalled their intentions from the onset, taking control of proceedings and pinning Peterborough deep inside their own half.
Their bright start paid dividends in the 12th minute when Louis Page opened the scoring, calmly slotting home after being picked out by Olabade Aluko.
Leicester continued to dictate the tempo and deservedly doubled their advantage eight minutes before the halftime break.
Page completed his brace with a composed first-time finish, opening up his body before guiding Justin's inviting delivery into the bottom corner to cap off another flowing Leicester attack.
Peterborough, however, refused to go down without a fight. The visitors pulled one back just two minutes before the interval when Chris Conn-Clarke found space inside the area before finishing clinically to reduce the deficit and breathe life into the contest heading into the second half.
After the restart, Peterborough emerged with renewed energy and enjoyed lengthy spells on the ball as they searched for an equaliser.
Leicester were forced to remain disciplined defensively, but they weathered the pressure well and gradually regained control of the contest.
Silko then put the result beyond doubt deep into stoppage time with a moment of individual brilliance. The Kenyan received possession on the edge of the area before curling a delightful strike into the top corner to cap off a fine team performance and mark his first goal of the pre-season campaign in style.
The goal will undoubtedly boost the Harambee Stars forward's confidence as he seeks to impress the technical bench ahead of the new season.
First in their series of pre-season friendlies, Leicester will be hoping to build on this performance and gather momentum in their quest to earn promotion back to the English Football League Championship at their first attempt and subsequently the English Premier League.
