AFC Leopards have completed the signing of experienced Ugandan midfielder Taddeo Lwanga from Uganda Premier League champions Vipers SC ahead of the new season.

Vipers confirmed the transfer in a statement shared across their official social media platforms, bidding farewell to the midfielder and wishing him success in his new chapter with the Kenyan giants.
"Vipers SC bid farewell to our former midfielder, Taddeo Lwanga, as he embarks on a new chapter. We wish you all the very best for the journey ahead. May your star continue to shine brightly with AFC Leopards SC in Kenya," the club posted.
Lwanga arrives at Ingwe as one of the most accomplished midfielders in the CECAFA region, bringing with him a wealth of experience amassed across Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Egypt and Djibouti.
The 32-year-old established himself as one of Uganda's standout midfielders during successful spells with Express SC, SC Villa and Vipers SC before earning moves abroad.
He has also featured for Simba SC in Tanzania, APR FC in Rwanda, Tanta SC in Egypt and AS Arta/Solar7 in Djibouti, building a reputation as a commanding defensive midfielder renowned for his leadership, composure and ball-winning ability.
His decorated career has seen him lift five league titles across East Africa, including three Uganda Premier League crowns with Vipers, one Tanzanian Premier League title with Simba SC and another league championship with APR FC in Rwanda.
On the international stage, Lwanga boasts extensive experience with the Uganda Cranes, earning 25 senior caps.
His international career reached its pinnacle in 2019 when he represented Uganda at the Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt, where the Cranes progressed to the knockout stages.
The midfielder's arrival is expected to inject steel, leadership and invaluable experience into AFC Leopards' midfield as the 12-time FKF Premier League champions seek to strengthen their squad ahead of the new campaign.
Ingwe are determined to mount another serious title challenge after narrowly missing out on ending their 28-year wait for the FKF Premier League crown last season.
AFC Leopards finished second behind fierce rivals Gor Mahia, who reclaimed the title after opening up a five-point gap at the summit.
