Koyonzo Secondary School etched their name in the Kenya Secondary Schools Sports Association (KSSSA) rugby 7s history after claiming their maiden title following an emphatic 33-0 win over Butula Boys High School in a Western Derby final.

After the restart, Koyonzo continued from where they left from as Darell Omondi just had too much pace and power for the Butula defense as he registered their second try of the game.

The second half was a mirror image of the first as James Asanga crossed the whitewash after a well worked move that saw good ball handling skills from Koyonzo to open up a healthy 19-0 lead.

Koyonzo proved just too good for Butula as they continued to press their foot on the gas with the burly Dennis Melfu cutting in from the inside to touch down underneath the post.
