Omondi's arrival further underlines the club's intent after a string of impressive acquisitions during the current transfer window.
Nicknamed "Bajaj" for his electrifying pace and direct style of play, Omondi brings a wealth of top-flight experience to Bukhungu Stadium.
The winger has enjoyed spells with Gor Mahia, Wazito FC, Muhoroni Youth and, most recently, KCB, building a reputation as one of the league's most dangerous wide players thanks to his ability to beat defenders and create chances in the final third.
Speaking after completing the move, the 31-year-old said he was excited to begin a fresh chapter with a club whose ambitions matched his own.
"I'm delighted to be joining Kakamega Homeboyz. From the conversations I had with the management and technical bench, it was clear they have a strong vision for the future and I wanted to be part of that journey. This is a club that is building something special and I'm ready to give everything for the badge."
Omondi believes his experience can help the youthful squad as Homeboyz look to compete at the highest level.
"I've been fortunate to play for some of the biggest clubs in the country, and those experiences have shaped me both as a footballer and as a person. I want to bring leadership, hard work and a winning mentality while also helping the younger players grow."
The winger also promised supporters that they can expect the fearless brand of football that earned him the nickname "Bajaj."
"The fans can expect commitment every single game. I'll keep doing what I've always loved—running at defenders, creating opportunities and working hard for the team. My goal is to help Homeboyz win matches and compete for trophies."
Homeboyz chairman Cleophas Shimanyula has made no secret of the club's determination to assemble a squad capable of challenging for the league title, and Omondi's arrival adds further quality and experience to an already strengthened side.
With pre-season preparations gathering momentum, expectations are steadily rising in Kakamega as Homeboyz continue to put together a squad that blends proven winners with emerging talent.
For Omondi, the move offers another opportunity to showcase his quality and play a leading role in what promises to be an exciting new era for the club.
