Victory in Diani strengthens Samuel Njoroge's resolve for LA Olympics qualification

The PGK Equator Tour concluded its sixth leg in thrilling fashion at the beautiful Diamonds Leisure Golf Club, Diani, with Samuel Njoroge clinching his first Tour title after four rounds of impressive play.

Njoroge posted a total score of -2 (68, 73, 69, 76), sealing a well-deserved victory in a closely contested tournament.

Veteran golfer Dismas Indiza finished second with an overall score of -1 (71, 69, 73, 74), while David Wakhu secured third place at +1 (75, 68, 73, 73).

Expressing his joy after the win, Njoroge credited his success to the strong backing from his team sponsor and the collective effort of his teammates.

"This victory means a lot to me. The support we’ve received from our corporate sponsor, Safaricom, has been incredible, and I wanted to make them proud.

We promised to win the corporate league, and we’ve been working hard to live up to that commitment. My bigger goal is to qualify for the Magical Kenya Open 2026 and earn a place at the Olympics 2028," Njoroge says.

The tour continues to provide Kenyan professionals with a vital platform to compete, improve, and gain ranking points on their journey toward international tournaments.

Speaking on behalf of the host club, Dr. Stan Kinsch, Captain of Diamonds Leisure Golf Club, expressed his delight at the success of the event:
