Kenyan midfielder Irad Mshindi, currently plying his trade with Swedish third-tier side Enköpings SK, is reportedly attracting interest from an unnamed European club that regularly competes in UEFA competitions.

Mshindi signed for Enköpings in June after impressing scouts during the U20 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament held in Egypt.
He took one of the rare paths for a Kenyan footballer by joining a club abroad without featuring for any local senior club, signing straight from Musingu High School.
Swedish media outlet Fotbollskanalen reports that a foreign club has already made an offer for him, while several Swedish top-tier (Allsvenskan) clubs are also showing interest.
The 18-year-old left Musingu Scorpions and signed a two-and-a-half-year contract with Enköpings. After just six starts and two substitute appearances, he is already close to moving on, if the reports are accurate.
According to Fotbollskanalen, the midfielder, who has been compared to former Harambee Stars captain Victor Wanyama due to his physique and style of play, has caught the attention of scouts across Europe.
Enköpings currently sits tenth in Ettan Norra, and scouts from several clubs have attended their matches to watch Mushindi alongside other players. A central midfielder by trade, he is known for his strength, stamina, and skill in duels.
Mshindi captained Musingu Scorpions all the way to the School Games final in 2024, but suffered heartbreak, losing to Highway Secondary School, who won the title.
His pathway mirrors that of McDonald Mariga, vice president of the Football Kenya Federation, who joined Enköpings in 2005, moved to Allsvenskan side Helsingborg, and was eventually noticed by Italian club Parma.
After two and a half years there, Mariga signed for Inter Milan, where he went on to win the UEFA Champions League in 2010. Another former Harambee Stars player, Jamal Mohammed, also played for Enköpings.
In Sweden, he plays alongside fellow Kenyan Stanley Wilson Omondi, who is currently on loan at Enköpings from Allsvenskan club AIK.
