Kenyan striker, Mathew Tegisi, has officially bid farewell to Pamba Jiji FC ahead of his expected move to Tanzanian Premier League side, Singida Black Stars.
Tegisi enjoyed an impressive campaign, finishing fourth in the Tanzanian Premier League scoring charts with 11 goals, five behind 'Golden Boot' winner Mossi Ndumumwe, who also turns out for Singida Black Stars.
In an earlier interview, the forward confirmed he would be leaving Pamba Jiji after the club opted to cash in on him rather than risk losing him as a free agent when his contract expires in January.
"I can confirm that I will be leaving Pamba Jiji. I'm grateful for the opportunity the club gave me and for everyone who supported me throughout my stay. I leave with nothing but respect and wish the club all the best," Tegisi said.
The Kenyan has now officially announced his departure through a heartfelt message on social media, thanking everyone who played a role during his time at the club.
"Thank you, Pamba Jiji fans, my coach, my teammates, boss Said Mtanda, and everyone who stood with me through this journey. You believed in me, pushed me, and made me who I am today. I wish you nothing but success, and I'll always be rooting for you."
Tegisi also sent a brief message to his new employers, expressing his determination to hit the ground running.
"To my new team: I'm here to work, to deliver, and to help make us great. Let's go!"
The move to Singida Black Stars will see the 26-year-old feature in the CAF Confederation Cup for the first time in his career as the Tanzanian side prepares for continental football next season.
