Nyabuto, who joined Homeboyz midway through last season, endured a challenging start as he adjusted to life in Kenya's top flight.

Competition for places limited his opportunities, but the lanky striker made an immediate impression whenever he was called upon, offering a glimpse of his immense potential.

The former St.Joseph Youth forward enjoyed a dream introduction to the FKF Premier League, featuring in three matches and scoring twice.

His goals against AFC Leopards and Kariobangi Sharks announced his arrival on the big stage and left Homeboyz supporters excited about what lies ahead.

Now preparing for his first full campaign with the Kakamega-based outfit, Nyabuto believes the upcoming season presents the perfect opportunity to establish himself as one of the league's most lethal attackers.

His ultimate ambition is to emulate former Homeboyz striker Moses Shumah, who became the first player in the club's history to win the FKF Premier League Golden Boot.

"I had a dream debut season, and heading into the new campaign, there will be a lot of expectations, including from myself. Of course, I have targets for the season.

I know it might sound ambitious, but I dream big, and I will be going for the Golden Boot award," Nyabuto told Mozzart Sport.

The youngster, however, acknowledges that achieving such a feat will largely depend on earning regular playing time—something he lacked during the second half of last season due to stiff competition for places within the Homeboyz squad.

"It was a memorable start to my career as a young player. I believe I did well in the matches I was selected to play, and that has given me confidence.

This season my aim is to get more minutes on the pitch because I didn't have enough last season. With consistent game time, I believe I will be in a much better position to realise my Golden Boot dream," he concluded.

Having already demonstrated his eye for goal in limited appearances, the 20-year-old now heads into the new campaign determined to transform early promise into sustained excellence as he seeks to spearhead Kakamega Homeboyz' attack and write his name among the FKF Premier League's elite marksmen.
