As has been the norm, the club utilises fresh jersey designs every season, with fans always eager to see and buy the team's new apparel.
In an address to the press on Monday, 29 June, club chairman Ambrose Rachier laid bare the timeline for the launch of the new jersey.
“Plans are underway to launch a new season replica jersey by 30 July. We urge our members to help us in curbing the sale of counterfeits,” said Rachier.
The city lawyer went ahead to reveal the legal ramifications of having fake jerseys in the market.
“We will explore how to deal with counterfeits because it relates to issues of income and intellectual property rights,” he added.

With their massive fan base that continues to grow, the sale of replica jerseys is one of the key sources of revenue for Gor Mahia and supplements the proceeds from shirt sponsors and match-day ticket sales.
Further, the seasoned administrator took time to appreciate the benefits of the digitisation of match-day tickets that the club adopted in the just-concluded season.
“The online ticketing has been a major boost to our income, and we thank our fans for enabling this mode of payment.”
Nevertheless, the 76-year-old revealed that the old ticketing system, which failed, continues to be fought by some quarters within the club.
“It has been one of the contentious issues in the past, but that has been dealt with even though it still faces some sort of resistance from the benefactors of paper ticketing,” he remarked.
