According to reports from Zambia, the Copperbelt-based club successfully concluded negotiations with the Kenyan forward, who now embarks on another chapter in his career following an impressive campaign in the FKF Premier League.
Omollo's transfer further underlines the growing appeal of the Zambian top flight to Kenyan footballers.
The league has increasingly become a destination of choice for some of Kenya's brightest talents, with the former Homeboyz attacker becoming the latest to make the cross-border move.
He becomes the second Kakamega Homeboyz player in recent months to secure a switch to Zambia.
The move marks Omollo's second stint abroad following a brief spell with Tanzanian outfit Fountain Gate FC. He returned to Kenya during the 2024/25 season and joined Kakamega Homeboyz, where he gradually established himself as a reliable attacking option despite spending a significant part of the 2025/26 campaign coming off the bench.
Even with limited starts, the pacey forward made his mark, finishing the season as Homeboyz's second-leading scorer with six league goals.
Only Oliver Majaka found the back of the net more times for the Kakamega-based outfit, ending the campaign with 11 goals.
Omollo first announced himself on the national stage during the 2023/24 National Super League (NSL) season with Nairobi United.
His prolific form saw him emerge as the division's top scorer after netting 17 goals, a remarkable return that earned him a move to the Tanzania Premier League and cemented his reputation as one of the country's most promising attacking talents.
Interestingly, his move comes barely a week after former Kakamega Homeboyz striker and 2024/25 FKF Premier League Golden Boot winner Moses Shumah left Zambian champions Power Dynamos.
Shumah enjoyed a dream debut campaign in Zambia, inspiring the club to the league title while finishing as the division's top scorer with an impressive 21 league goals.
The nine-time Zambian league champions finished eighth in the Super League standings last season with 49 points.
Mufulira will be banking on Omollo's pace, versatility and clinical finishing to sharpen their attack as they seek to climb higher up the table in the upcoming campaign.
