These follow one match that was played on Friday, 13 March to usher back the league after an over 10-day break occasioned by the Mozzart Bet Cup.

Mathare welcomes AFC Leopards, Sofapaka takes on Nairobi United, APS Bomet battles Bidco United, and Bandari tussles with Mara Sugar.

As it stands, Gor Mahia are at the summit of the league table with 49 points, six more than their arch-rivals AFC Leopards, who are second albeit with a game in hand, with Shabana FC closing the top three with 40 points to their name.

At the other end of the table, Sofapaka are at the bottom with 14 points and are joined in the relegation zone by APS Bomet and Ulinzi Stars with 19 points apiece.

Mathare United vs AFC Leopards

The biggest match and highlight of the day will be the clash between 2008 Premier League champions Mathare United and Kenyan giants AFC Leopards, slated for 1530 hrs at the Nyayo National Stadium.

Having been inactive in matchday 23 and already eliminated in the Mozzart Bet Cup, Leopards will be returning to the pitch after a two-week break, with their last match being against Shabana, which was played on Sunday, 1 March.

Nevertheless, Ingwe will be out to build on that match where they secured a 5-1 win, their biggest win of the season as well as Shabana’s biggest loss.

The win was Leopards’ seventh in their last 10 matches, with the Fred Ambani-coached side enjoying a rich vein of form that has seen the team as well as fans now angling for the league title.

Mathare, on the other hand, have also had a two-week rest where they had an opportunity to correct the mistakes that have seen them win only one of their last six matches, tasting defeat thrice, including in their last two matches.

In effect, they have dropped to 13th on the log with 26 points, but winger Junior Nyawir, formerly of Gor Mahia is confident of his team’s preparations in the match.

“It will not be an easy match. We will treat it as a final. We will not underate nor overate them. We will treat it as any other match with a target of getting maximum points.

We have had two weeks to prepare, and I believe we are ready,” said Nyawir.

APS Bomet vs Bidco United

At the Gusii Stadium in Kisii, the relegation battle pitting APS Bomet against Bidco United will take place from 1400 hrs.

APS are having a tough start to life in the FKF Premier League, where they have spent the whole season in the relegation matrix.

The Law Enforcers face a Bidco United side that is equally struggling but managed to end a 17-match winless streak with a 1-0 victory over Ulinzi Stars in their last match.

Nevertheless, the Oilers sit just a place and a point above the relegation zone, making the afternoon clash a very important one for both sides’ survival.

Sofapaka vs Nairobi United

Bottom-placed Sofapaka will welcome Mozzart Bet Cup defending champions Nairobi United at the Kasarani Annex from 1300 hrs in what will be the first clash of the day.

Having completed continental assignments, Naibois are fully concentrated on local competitions where they are eying a double in their maiden season.

However, they must correct the torrid run they are enduring in the league, having won just one of their last five matches.

On their part, Sofapaka are on a poor run of form that has seen them go winless in their last 15 matches, including seven consecutive losses in their last seven matches - the longest losing streak in the league this season.

Sofapaka last won a match over four months ago, with their last victory traced back to 10 November 2025, when they downed Posta Rangers 2-0.

Bandari FC vs Mara Sugar FC

In the other match of the day, Bandari FC will lock horns with Mara Sugar at the Kwale Stadium from 1400 hrs.

Bandari has seen a dip in form and have won just one of their last five matches, leaving them ninth on the log, while Mara have won two of their last five, leaving them 11th on the standings.
