AFC Leopards head coach Fred Ambani has challenged his side to keep their title charge alive after being named FKF Premier League Coach of the Month for March, insisting the race is far from over, despite the pressure at the top.
Ingwe sit second on the table with 55 points after 27 matches, just two behind leaders Gor Mahia who have a game in hand.

With the league entering a decisive phase, Ambani believes his team has put itself in a strong position to finally end a title drought stretching close to three decades.
Ambani’s recognition follows a rollercoaster month that tested both the squad’s mentality and ambitions.
Leopards delivered a statement 5-1 win over Shabana before suffering a heavy 4-1 defeat to Mathare United, a result that left them ten points behind at the time and seemingly out of contention.
However, the former Kenya international rallied his squad, guiding them to three straight wins against Nairobi United, Tusker and Kariobangi Sharks to reignite their push and close the gap on their fierce rivals.
“March was an important month for us because the team showed character and belief in every match. Our focus now is to maintain this momentum and keep pushing towards our goals,” said Ambani.
“It’s been a while since our club was in such a strong position at this stage of the season. We are taking it one game at a time and hopefully we will give our fans something to celebrate at the end.”
AFC Leopards will not be in action this weekend due to the Mozzart Bet Cup Round of 16 fixtures, having already exited the competition at the Round of 64 stage to giant killers BB Bread, who also knocked out Gor Mahia in the Round of 32.
The break offers a moment to regroup before a crucial league clash against Kenya Police on Sunday, April 19, a fixture that could significantly shape the title race.
Ambani’s latest accolade, which comes with a cash prize of Ksh 75,000 and a customized trophy, is his second of the campaign after also winning in December.
He joins Charles Akonnor as the only coaches to have claimed the award twice this season, underlining his growing influence in Leopards’ resurgence.
