The London 7s takes place this weekend 28-29 May.

The men’s national rugby 7s side, Shujaa, have been pooled against three other tough opposition ahead of the penultimate 2021/2022 HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series outing that is set to be held in London this coming weekend from 28-29 May 2022.

In the 8th tournament of the season, the Damian McGrath currently coached side have been drawn in Pool B and will come up against current Series leaders Argentina, South Africa and an impressive Ireland side who are coming off their first ever men’s Cup final in the just concluded Toulouse 7s played this past weekend in France.

The team head into the tournament on the back of yet another poor showing where they collected only one point from the outing in France which marked the first tournament that head coach McGrath and his assistant Kevin Wambua oversaw since taking charge.

Pool A has Toulouse 7s winners Fiji, USA, Spain and Wales. France who finished their home event in third place are in Pool C where they will lock horns against Australia, New Zealand and Canada.

Pool D has an impressive looking Samoa, hosts England and Japan.
