The Deejays did not play in the 2021 season citing Covid-19 challenges.
Homeboyz RFC will be making a return to the Kenya Cup after the team confirmed its participation in the new rugby season that commences on Saturday 27th November.
In the concluded 2021 season, The Deejays, as the club are fondly known, made the decision to sit out of the campaign that was played under the challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic that had just hit the country. The club stated that it was not able to guarantee the safety and wellbeing of its members at that time under the prevailing circumstances.
“We regret to announce that we have opted not to participate in this year’s Kenya Cup league since we are unable to guarantee the safety, health and wellbeing of our club members, staff and our league participants owing to the pandemic. We hope to return to play as soon as we find the environment relatively manageable,” the club announced back in March.

In the 2021/2022 season, Homeboyz will now be back to the fold, joining the other eleven teams to form a twelve-team league as matchday one fixtures were announced with some mouthwatering ties on the cards.
Upon making a return, Homeboyz faces a herculean task on the get-go as they face reigning champions KCB in their first match to be played at KCB Sports Club. The Bankers are fresh from winning their fourth consecutive Kenya Cup title after lifting the 2021 title.
