The Sugar Millers now join the great sides of Impala RFC back in the early '70s, Nondescript RFC in the late '70s, and KCB RFC recently as the only clubs that have lifted the Kenya Cup title four consecutive times.

The win cemented Kabras' dominance in the 15s game. However, the victory was anything but easy against a determined Oilers side that stretched them to the limit.

Oilers showed early intent, camping in Kabras’ territory in the opening minutes and testing the hosts' defense. They had a chance to take the lead through a penalty just beyond the 40-meter mark, but Timothy Omela’s attempt fell short.

Kabras capitalized on their first real opportunity, with Ntabeni Dukisa slotting in a penalty for a 3-0 lead. The visitors responded quickly with a penalty of their own through Omela to level the score at 3-3.

A well-executed maul saw Kabras score the first try of the match, which Dukisa converted to stretch the lead to 10-3. Omela kept Oilers within touching distance with another penalty, narrowing the gap to 10-6.

The tension remained high as Kabras applied pressure deep in Oilers' territory but squandered chances through handling errors. Omela was again on target with his boot, making it 10-9 before Kabras responded with a Griffins Chao try, converted by Dukisa for a 17-9 halftime lead.

After the break, Kabras came out firing. Walter Okoth added another try for the hosts, with Dukisa maintaining his impeccable kicking form to take the score to 24-9.

Oilers refused to back down. Omela slotted another penalty, and when Okoth went down injured, Oilers seized the momentum. Substitute Samuel Ovwamu burst through for their first try of the match, and Omela’s conversion brought them within five points at 24-19.

A penalty from Kabras’ Orege made it 27-19, but the final minutes were nothing short of drama-filled. Kabras lost possession deep in their own territory, and the Oilers punished them with a converted try that made it 27-26.

With seconds left on the clock, Oilers made one last push, but time ran out before they could complete the comeback. Kabras, in possession, booted the ball into touch as the final whistle sounded, sparking wild celebrations among the home fans.
