The Simbas will be seeking for revenge after their last meeting ended in a narrow 21-20 loss to Uganda Cranes

Kenya Simbas coaches have made five changes to the squad that will be on duty against Uganda Cranes in the return leg of the Elgon Cup set for the Jomo Kenyatta International Stadium in Kisumu on November 11.

Eugene Sifuna gets a nod to start at hooker after being away due to educational commitments. He will be joined by Ephraim Oduor and Hillary Mwanjilwa in the front row. Oduor and Mwanjilwa start in the place of Wilhite Mususi and Teddy Akala who will start on the bench.

Elkeans Musonye returns at openside flank after starting last Sunday from the bench as Paul Mutsami is given the nod at inside center, partnering with Bryceson Adaka in midfield while Derrick Ashiundu returns to the wing, replacing Alfred Orege who misses out on the match day squad through injury.

Also missing out on the match-day squad are Emmanuel Otieno, Reinhard Mwalati, and Walter Okoth while Andrew Matoka has made a good enough recovery to be included among the replacements. Shem Okola starts from the bench and is in line for his debut.

Jone Kubu and Brian Wahinya swap places in positional changes made to the backline, Kubu starting at flyhalf with Wahinya slotting in at fullback.

The Simbas will be in the hunt for revenge after their last meeting ended in a narrow 21-20 loss to Uganda. They will also be bolstered by the noisy home support.

This time, they will also be enjoying the services of immensely experienced coach Jerome Paarwater who was away with the Lionesses in Dubai for the WXV3 tournament.

The Lionesses will also square off with Uganda Lady Cranes. The fierce Lionesses will be looking to retain the title they won in the last edition in 2019 after its re-introduction, as well as bring a wealth of experience from the WXV3 tournament, and Olympic qualifiers.

The matches will be curtain raised by the Lake Victoria 15 preseason tournament featuring Kenya Cup defending champions Kabras RFC and Kenya Rugby Union (KRU) Championship side Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (MMUST) rugby. The Sugarmen qualified for this stage after dismantling Sigalagala RFC 43-12 while their town neighbors MMUST saw off Kisumu RFC 19-16.
