Chema Volleyball Club star Stephen Ochieng has exuded confidence in his team’s ability to triumph over Kenya Prisons in the highly anticipated Mozzart Kenya Cup 2026.

The two sides will lock horns in the semi finals of the prestigious cup, following their respective wins in the last eight to make a date in what is a repeat of the league clash.
Chema cruised to the last four after an emphatic 3-0 win over KAPU, while Prisons secured an equal victory over APK.
Speaking to Mozzart Sport ahead of the semi final slated for Saturday 25 July, the experienced setter disclosed why he is confident that the Juja-based outfit bag victory over The Wardens.
“We are now energized and ready to face Prisons. They are Bronze winners while we are newcomers but we do not fear them. We beat them in the league semi final to win the silver and are ready to repeat that,” said Ochieng.
Reflecting on their path to the semi final, the former KDF Volleyballan attributed their victory over KAPU to the desire to succeed.
“KAPU is a strong team with young talents, who will always be a threat to teams, but we had the hunger to win, which eventually paid off,” he added.
Despite being their maiden appearance in the tournament, Chema are keen to cause a surprise and walk home with the title.

The two sides will face each other from 1400 hrs in what will be the first men’s semi final of the day before KPA takes on GSU from 1600 hrs.
The Mozzart Kenya Cup which will come to a conclusion on Sunday 26 July will see winners walk home with Ksh300,000 as runners up bank Ksh200,000.
The third place team will win Ksh100,000 as 16 referees also walk home with Ksh100,000 all courtesy of leading gaming firm Mozzart Bet Kenya.
