List of 2026 Mozzart Kenya Cup individual award winners

General Service Unit (GSU) star Nicholas Matui and Kenya Pipeline Company’s (KPC) Veronica Adhiambo were the biggest individual winners at the prestigious Mozzart Kenya Cup 2026.

The cup, which is in its second edition, brought together eight men’s teams and four women’s sides who gathered from Friday 24 to Sunday, 26 July at the Kasarani Indoor Arena.

Apart from winning the men's title, GSU also stole the headlines by dominating the award nominations, with Pipeline dazzling in the women's individual awards category.

GSU’s left attacker Nicholas Matui was named the Most Valuable Player (MVP), successfully defending the title which he won in the inaugural edition after playing a pivotal role in guiding his team to victory.

Matui’s powerful attacks saw GSU sail past KPA in a highly contested semi-final clash before whitewashing Chema in the final.

GSU’s Brian Melly also retained the Best Setter award, which he won in the opening edition, and so was Hudson Kipchumba, who was named the Best Libero for the second year running.

Joshua Kimaru was also named the Best Outside Hitter in the fourth individual gong that was clinched by a GSU player.

Fans' favourite Enock Mogeni, who plies his trade in Bahrain, retained the Best Server accolade after earning KPA several points from his powerfully hit services that attracted cheers from the Kasarani crowd.

Chema’s Nigerian star Armstrong Azeofor was named the Best Opposite Player, with his teammate Levis Ogutu bagging the Best Middle Blocker award.

In the women's category, MVP Adhiambo's teammate Leonida Kasaya was named the Best Server, while Emmaculate Nekesa secured the Best Setter award.

KCB also grabbed three awards, with Belinda Barasa named the Best Middle Blocker as Terry Tata and Josephine Kataa bagged the Best Opposite Hitter and Best Libero awards respectively, as DCI’s Jemimah Siang’u secured the Best Outside Hitter award.

The 16 referees who officiated the matches were also awarded for their exemplary work over the three days.
