The four-day celebration, spanning from Wednesday to Sunday, seamlessly blends sports, leadership, youth empowerment, and digital innovation into one unforgettable experience.
The event opens with a club night on Wednesday, followed by a Caddies Tournament on Friday, featuring over 100 participants. Saturday marks the main event—an 18-hole stroke play tournament—drawing golfers from all categories, including men, women, juniors, and invited corporate guests.
Tennis and pool competitions will also take place on the same day, creating a multi-sport carnival atmosphere. On Sunday, focus shifts to the next generation with a Junior Golf Tournament attracting over 80 young players.
Lady Captain Beatrice Otieno, who has been hailed for her leadership and efforts in organising the event, views the tournament as a celebration of golf, friendship, and community spirit. She expressed gratitude to the golfing fraternity and noted the pristine condition of the course as a highlight of this year’s event.
More than a golf tournament, this year’s edition will also witness the official launch of Tindi, a youth-driven app revolutionising Kenya’s entertainment space. Tindi was conceived by 19-year-old Emmanuel Okola Opati, who was inspired by the Swahili word "Tindi," meaning “to social drink.”
The app is designed to reward users for sharing real-time moments at events. Through an in-app feature called “Moments,” users post photos that populate the “Tindi Tribe” feed, allowing others to discover where the hottest events are happening.
For every interaction, users earn Tindi Points, a unique digital currency that can be redeemed for perks like discounted tickets, exclusive access, and freebies at partner venues.
This fusion of entertainment and loyalty marketing provides value for users and businesses alike, making Tindi both a social media platform and a powerful marketing tool.
Tindi also supports the creator economy through its Tindi Creator Program, which aims to empower young content creators by connecting them with businesses, offering them a chance to monetise their attention and influence.
With Africa’s entertainment industry projected to hit $100 billion by 2030 and Kenya’s share expected to reach $6–7 billion, Tindi is positioning itself at the centre of this growth.
