The 29-year-old joins the Brewers from Nigerian champions Remo Stars, where he enjoyed an impressive campaign, finishing as the club's leading scorer with 14 goals and four assists in the Nigeria Premier Football League.

Mbaoma returns to East African football after a previous spell with APR FC in Rwanda, where he won the league's Golden Boot after scoring 15 goals.

He is expected to bolster Tusker's attacking options as the club prepares for both domestic and continental assignments.

Speaking after completing the move, the forward said Tusker's ambitions and long-term project convinced him to join the former Kenyan champions.

"I am delighted to be joining Tusker FC. The coach and the management shared the club's vision with me, and after learning more about the team's history and ambitions, I felt it was the right move.

The club wants to compete for trophies locally and perform well in continental competitions, and I want to be part of that journey," he told the club’s official website.

Tusker head coach Julien Mette welcomed the arrival of the experienced striker, revealing that he has followed Mbaoma's progress since their time in Rwanda, when Mette coached Rayon Sports while the striker featured for APR.

"Victor is an experienced player whom I know very well. I believe he will add quality to our squad, and I look forward to working with him."

Mbaoma also acknowledged his familiarity with Mette, saying the French coach's passion and winning mentality influenced his decision.

The striker began his professional career with Remo Stars in 2016 before featuring for Akwa United and Enyimba in Nigeria. He has also had spells with MC Alger in Algeria and Qizilqum Zarafshon in Uzbekistan.

His experience extends to continental football, having made 23 appearances in the CAF Confederation Cup, scoring eight goals and providing one assist. He has also featured nine times in the CAF Champions League, scoring four goals.

Mbaoma believes that experience will be valuable as Tusker seek to progress in CAF competitions.

"I have played in both the CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup and understand the demands of those competitions. I hope to use that experience to help the team achieve its objectives."

Across his spells in the Nigerian top flight, Mbaoma has made 169 league appearances, scoring 65 goals and providing nine assists. Tusker will hope his proven goalscoring record strengthens an attack that struggled for consistency last season.
