The former Kenya international was introduced to the team in a brief ceremony, where he was handed a team shirt by club CEO Rose Chemutai.
Omollo later conducted his first training session at the club, just a day after the team had resumed training from its festive break.

On Friday, 28 November, Omollo was released from Posta’s technical bench on a 30-day terminal leave, which was scheduled to expire on the last day of his contract—31 December.
Three days prior to his release, Omollo was pictured having a conversation with APS Bomet officials—Chemutai and Bomet Board Chairman Fred Akama—on the sidelines of the team’s 4-1 drubbing of Gor Mahia, fueling speculation of his imminent appointment.
APS Bomet, without making an official announcement, however, stood with Omollo during a difficult month when he lost his wife, Vera.
Omollo, who has also managed Shabana, Kenya Police, and Gor Mahia, will now shift his focus to securing Premier League safety for Bomet, who, after 14 games, lie in the relegation zone in 16th place.
It is expected that coach Benedict Wanjala, who stepped in after the early season ‘resignation’ of Michael Nam—will serve as Omollo’s assistant.
The Premier League debutants return to league action on Sunday, 11 January, against Mara Sugar.
