Ghanaian Inaki to his Spanish brother Nico: "I love you, World Champion!"

Yesterday was one of the proudest days in the Williams family's history, as the young Nico became the World Champion with Spain, providing a crucial assist for Ferran Torres' extra-time winner.

One of the first to congratulate the Athletic Bilbao forward was, naturally, his brother and Ghana international, Inaki, who couldn't contain his pride.

In a heartwarming message he posted on social media, the 32-year-old reminded everyone of the difficult journey their family had been through, as their Ghanaian parents had begun their journey to Spain as migrants seeking a better future.

They reportedly crossed the Sahara Desert on foot and later crossed the Melilla border fence before eventually settling in Bilbao, where Inaki was born that same year.

"Brother, you've won the World Cup. You've made history."
