Ogam will officially join Wolfsberger after the international break, with the possibility of making his debut against Red Bull Salzburg.

Ryan Ogam’s journey with Tusker FC has come to an end, and the Harambee Stars striker made sure to leave with words straight from the heart.

The 21-year-old penned an emotional farewell to the Brewers on Wednesday as he confirmed his transfer to Austrian Bundesliga side Wolfsberger AC.

Reflecting on his one-year stay, which was marked by both goals and challenges, Ogam thanked the club for standing by him through it all.

“I am truly thankful to the brand, management, coaches, and my teammates for this incredible gesture. I am really moved and will cherish the moments we shared,” Ogam said in an interview with the club's website. “Though I was here for a year and a month—and only played for about seven months due to injury—the memories and bonds we created will last a lifetime. As I move to a new environment in Europe, I carry all of you with me and will always represent Tusker proudly.”

Ogam leaves after a remarkable season in which he scored 15 goals in 17 league appearances, establishing himself as one of the FKF Premier League’s most feared forwards. He also impressed at the CHAN tournament, scoring twice as Kenya reached the quarterfinals, although his crucial strike against Madagascar was controversially ruled out.

On Wednesday, Tusker and sponsors EABL honored the forward with a farewell ceremony at Ruaraka Grounds, where club officials and teammates celebrated his contribution. Despite interest from multiple clubs abroad, Ogam chose Austria as the next step in his career.

His rise has been anything but ordinary. Previously deployed as a defensive midfielder at Rainbow FC and Elite Falcons in Dubai, Ogam was transformed into a striker by Tusker coach Charles Okere before the start of last season. The gamble paid off handsomely, with the youngster rewriting scoring charts before injury briefly halted his momentum.

Wolfsberger AC president Dietmar Riegler welcomed the Kenyan with glowing praise, describing him as a perfect blend of natural ability and hard work.

“Ryan is an exciting young striker with great potential. We have followed his progress at Tusker closely, as well as his recent performances for Harambee Stars. He combines talent, discipline, and hunger to grow. We believe he will quickly adapt to the Austrian Bundesliga and make a positive impact both on and off the pitch,” Riegler said.

Ogam will officially join Wolfsberger after the international break, with the possibility of making his debut against Red Bull Salzburg. For now, he remains with Harambee Stars as they prepare for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Gabon and Seychelles at Kasarani.
