All eyes will be fixed on the Eldoret Showgrounds, where returnees Soy United host promotion-chasing Kibera Black Stars in what is expected to be a blistering encounter.

Soy United, backed by Mozzart Bet, will be seeking to assert home dominance, a trait that has seen them maintain a 100% home win record so far.

Under the guidance of former Kakamega Homeboyz and KCB assistant coach Jeffers Odongo, the Soy-based outfit will be aiming to bounce back from their first defeat of the season, a narrow 1-0 loss to Naivas FC.

But their ambitions face a stern test: Kibera Black Stars, powered by Rubis Energy, arrive with a point to prove after suffering a shock 1-0 defeat to debutants Equity FC last weekend, a result that ended their five-match unbeaten run.

It marked their second loss of the campaign after an opening-day setback against FC Talanta.

History adds further spice to the clash, as in their previous two meetings, each side picked up one victory apiece, setting the stage for a finely balanced contest.

At Mumboha Grounds, struggling Luanda Villa hosts high-flying 3K FC in another eagerly awaited clash.

Leonard Swaleh’s men have endured a difficult start to the season, suffering four defeats in seven matches.

However, their morale received a much-needed boost last weekend after stunning former FKF Premier League outfit FC Talanta 1-0 in Nairobi, their second win of the campaign.

Villa will now hope to build the momentum that has eluded them all season.

Their visitors, 3K FC, coached by Francis Chege, have been one of the league’s most consistent sides, going six matches unbeaten since an opening-day defeat to Nzoia Sugar.

Despite their solid run, the Mozzart Bet-backed team will be keen to address a worrying away record, having gone winless in three trips this season.

Past meetings favor 3K, who are unbeaten in the last two encounters, taking four points off Villa with a 1-0 win in Embu and a 1-1 draw in Mumboha.

Victory for 3K would push them to third place on 15 points, while a win for Villa would see them surge into the top half, rising to eighth on 10 points.

At Kenyatta Stadium, Mamboleo, Vihiga United square off with FC Talanta in a tight contest with both sides eager to turn their fortunes around.

Milton Kidiga’s Vihiga United are chasing only their second win of the campaign, having beaten Luanda Villa 1-0 a fortnight ago.

The side will be particularly keen to break their disappointing home spell, having gone winless in all three previous matches at the venue this season.

They face a stubborn FC Talanta outfit desperate to recover from a shock 1-0 defeat to Luanda Villa last weekend, their second loss of the season.

Coach Jackson Gatheru will demand a reaction as Talanta looks to regain stability.

Recent history favors Talanta, who have won three of their past four meetings against Vihiga.

The hosts, however, will be determined to break the jinx and rewrite the script.

At Thika Stadium, debutants Kabati Youth clash with Mully Children’s Family (MCF) in a fixture that carries significant stakes at both ends of the table.

Kabati Youth have endured a rude introduction to second-tier football, recording four defeats and three draws and sitting bottom of the 20-team standings.

Coach Haji Bilali will be pushing his players to secure a long-awaited first-ever NSL win, a feat they have been chasing since September.

However, MCF poses a stern challenge. Under coach Vincent Nyaberi, the visitors picked up a crucial 1-0 victory over MOFA last weekend, their second win of the season, and are gradually climbing the table.

A win for MCF could lift them into the top half, rising to eighth on 10 points.

For Kabati, three points would lift them out of the relegation zone, offering much-needed relief as they fight to steady their debut campaign.

The final match of the day will unfold at Marist University, Karen, where Darajani Gogo hosts a resurgent Mwatate United.

Gogo will be out to bounce back following a hotly contested 2-1 defeat to Mombasa United, a loss shrouded in controversy and one that ended their three-match unbeaten streak.

Head coach Andrew Ongwae will be demanding a disciplined and determined response from his side.

Their opponents, Mwatate United, appear to have turned the corner.

Under Evans Mafuta, they secured their first win of the season last weekend against Kabati Youth and are unbeaten in their last three outings. The visitors now aim to extend that run to four matches.

With just one point separating the two teams, the stakes are high.

Victory for Gogo would shoot them into the top half on 10 points, while three points for Mwatate would take them to ninth or tenth, marking a significant climb.
