The newcomers produced a ruthless second-half display to claim a vital victory that significantly boosted their hopes of safeguarding their league status.

Dennis Ndungu handed Kabati the lead in the opening half, ensuring the hosts carried a narrow advantage into the halftime break after a relatively balanced contest.

However, the second half turned into a one-sided affair as Kabati ran riot with four more goals to condemn Luanda Villa to a humiliating defeat.

Ndungu completed a superb hat-trick with two further strikes after the restart, while substitutes Tyson Abdi, Sifuna Maina and another late effort capped off a memorable afternoon for the hosts.

The dominant performance underlined Kabati’s growing belief as the season edges closer to its climax.

The victory lifted Kabati Youth to 32 points, strengthening their survival bid despite remaining entrenched in the relegation zone.

With only three matches left to play, the result could prove pivotal in their battle to avoid the drop.

For Luanda Villa, the defeat marked a second consecutive loss, denting their hopes of ending the campaign strongly.

Despite the setback, they remain 13th on 39 points and still retain an outside chance of securing a top-half finish.

MOFA 1-1 Darajani Gogo

Elsewhere at Gems Cambridge, Michael Olunga Football Academy (MOFA) saw their promotion ambitions suffer a major blow after being held to a 1-1 draw by Darajani Gogo FC.

Gogo struck first in the opening half to place the visitors in control before MOFA responded late in the contest through Vincent Nyabuto, whose equaliser salvaged a point for the hosts.

However, the result effectively extinguished MOFA FC’s hopes of securing top-flight promotion.

The side now sits nine points adrift of the final promotion playoff spot with only a few matches remaining.

However, for Gogo FC, the draw offered little relief in their own survival fight as they remained trapped in the relegation battle, sitting just above the drop zone.

Soy United 0-0 Kisumu All Stars

At Eldoret Showground, the highly anticipated Mozzart Bet derby between Soy United and Kisumu All Stars ended in a barren draw.

The stalemate saw Kisumu All Stars move to 36 points, opening a crucial four-point cushion in the battle for survival.

Soy United, meanwhile, climbed to 10th place as they continued their push for a respectable top-half finish with three matches left before the end of the season.

Naivas FC 2-0 Mwatate United

In the final match of the day, Naivas FC strengthened their quest for a top-five finish after edging Mwatate United 2-0.

The victory pushed the Shoppers to 57 points and kept them firmly on course for a strong finish to the campaign.

The defeat further deepened Mwatate's relegation troubles.

James Tole’s charges remain rooted at the bottom of the table and are now staring at the possibility of relegation should they fail to secure victory in their upcoming fixture over the weekend.
