Gosege has been handed five matches to turn around the club's woes in order for him to pen down a long-term contract at the club

Samuel Njuguna and National Super League side Kibera Black Stars have agreed to mutually part ways after close to four months, the club has confirmed.

Njuguna was named the club tactician at the start of the 2023-2024 NSL season following the departure of Evans Ogutu and his technical team.

The former Ligi Ndogo tactician was tasked with tuning Kibera to new heights this season including guiding them to the Football Kenya Federation Premier League but his start to the season has been far away from the expected standards.

During his tenure with the club, the youthful gaffer oversaw five games that resulted into three defeats, two draws and one win for the Ya mama.

Njuguna troubles brew following last weekend 2-1 loss to Kisumu All Stars which was escalated by beatings from Mara Sugar and debutants Nairobi United that leaves the second-tier veterans 15th on the league standings.

Confirming his departure, the club noted that the decision was reached at after a thorough evaluation and considerations from both parties.

Also leaving the club is assistant coach and former Darajani Gogo lead scout Saidi Mohammed and goalkeeper trainer Charles Abwodha.

The team management board has lined up a couple of replacements with last term's assistant coach Moses Onyango Gosege set to take over the mantle.

Onyango is not new to stars surrounding having served the club at various capacities before his departure from the club at the start of the season following the dismissal of Evans Otieno.

It is however, not yet clear if the experienced expert will bring in his long-time coaching partner Ogutu, whom they have for the better part of their coaching career navigated together.

Gosege has been handed five matches to turn around the club's woes in order for him to pen down a long-term contract at the club.

Next assignment for the slum boys is a tough test against Rainbow at the Ligi Ndogo Grounds
