Liverpool enter the race for Monaco gem after they reject several PSG bids

Liverpool have joined the race to sign Maghnes Akliouche after Monaco rejected multiple offers from Paris Saint-Germain for one of Ligue 1's brightest attacking talents.
According to Sky Sport, the Premier League champions have contacted Monaco to explore the availability of the 24-year-old winger, who has become one of the hottest properties on the French transfer market.
Monaco have so far stood firm against PSG's advances, turning down several bids, including the latest offer worth €40 million. The principality club are holding out for €50 million, and until that valuation is met, they have no intention of selling.

That impasse has opened the door for Liverpool.
Arne Slot's side have already strengthened their attack this summer by signing VÃctor Munoz from Osasuna in a €40 million deal, but they continue to search for additional firepower.
Liverpool were previously linked with RB Leipzig target Yan Diomande before Paris Saint-Germain moved ahead in the race for the Ivorian youngster. At the same time, Bradley Barcola has also been mentioned as a potential target.
Akliouche has now emerged as another serious option.
Although naturally a right winger, the French international offers far more than that. He is capable of operating on either flank, as an attacking midfielder or even as a false nine, making him an attractive addition for a side that values tactical flexibility.
While he would not be viewed as a like-for-like replacement for Mohamed Salah, his versatility and technical ability could provide Arne Slot with another dynamic attacking weapon.
Akliouche enjoyed another impressive campaign for Monaco last season, scoring seven goals and providing 11 assists in 43 appearances across all competitions.
Since making his senior breakthrough during the 2021-22 season, he has steadily developed into one of Ligue 1's standout young attackers. To date, he has registered 23 goals and 28 assists in 139 appearances for Monaco, performances that have attracted interest from some of Europe's biggest clubs.
With PSG unwilling to meet Monaco's asking price, for now, Liverpool could have a genuine opportunity to steal one of the most sought-after talents in French football.
