In Turkey, Kenya suffered back-to-back defeats to Equatorial Guinea and Senegal.
Kenya began the window with a spirited but wasteful performance in a 1-0 loss to Equatorial Guinea at the Emirgan Sport Centre.
A first-half penalty from José Miranda, awarded after Rooney Onyango fouled the forward in the box, proved the difference.
Despite the defeat, Stars created several promising chances through Sylvester Owino, Ryan Ogam and Jonah Ayunga but failed to convert.
If the opener highlighted missed opportunities, the second outing delivered a brutal reality check.
Kenya were overpowered 8-0 by 2026 World Cup-bound Senegal on Tuesday night, one of the heaviest defeats in Harambee Stars’ history.
Senegal’s high press punished Kenya early, with Nicolas Jackson scoring inside nine minutes.
Malick Diouf doubled the lead before Jackson completed a brace to make it 3-0.
Sadio Mané then took full command, completing a first-half hat-trick that included a penalty to send Senegal 6-0 ahead at the break.
Ibrahim Mbaye added a seventh before Chérif Ndiaye sealed the rout from the spot late on.
Kenya’s only moments of threat came through Alpha Onyango’s long-range effort and a late chance for Ovella Ochieng.
The November losses compounded a mixed October window in which Kenya were beaten 3-0 by Côte d’Ivoire in Abidjan after coming from a 1-0 win over Burundi.
The inconsistent run across the two international breaks ultimately contributed to Kenya’s slip in the rankings.
With no points collected in November, Kenya dropped from 111th to 113th, now sitting one place below Tanzania.
Senegal, despite hammering Kenya, also dropped one place after losing 2-0 to Brazil in their first match of the window.
Spain retained the top position globally, followed by Argentina and France.
Brazil were among the biggest climbers at the top, rising two places to fifth.
Portugal dropped to sixth, the Netherlands to seventh, while Italy fell three positions to 12th, exiting the top 10 and allowing Croatia to rise to 10th.
Uzbekistan recorded one of the standout jumps, climbing five places to return to the top 50 for the first time since 2016.
The Republic of Ireland registered the largest points gain (+34.86), while Malta, the Philippines, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan all rose five places. El Salvador, India, and Luxembourg suffered the biggest positional drops (-6), while Denmark recorded the biggest points loss (-24.27).
Across Africa, Nigeria moved up three places to 38th, while Tunisia climbed to 40th.
In CONCACAF, the United States (14th, +2) overtook Mexico (15th, -1) as the region’s highest-ranked team.
