Harambee Starlets forward set to join Simba Queens after Besiktas exit

While Shilwataso and Adhiambo will wear the Simba shirt, Akoth will upgrade her initial loan move to Yanga permanent
Kenyan international Cynthia Shilwatso has reportedly agreed to join Tanzanian giants Simba Queens on a two-year contract after her exit from Turkish side Besiktas.
The Harambee Starlets forward becomes the latest addition to Simba who are bolstering their squad in a bid to dominate the Tanzanian Women's Premier League, should the deal be sealed.

The former Vihiga Queens striker move to Simba comes barely two weeks after she was released by Besiktas, who cited restructuring of the team as the reason for the purge that claimed 16 players.
Shilwatso had spent only eight months of her one-year deal with Besiktas whom she joined from Ukrainian outfit Krivybas.
During her time in Turkey, she got the opportunity to play in the UEFA Women's Champions League.
The 25-year-old now makes a return to the Tanzanian scene where she had previously played for Fountain Gate Princess.
Apart from Shilwatso, Simba have also reportedly secured the services of another Kenyan international in Fasila ‘Kamama’ Adhiambo on a two-year deal.

Adhiambo joins from FKF Women Premier League (WPL) side Ulinzi Starlets where was one of the key players for the military side.
Should Simba sign the two, the club will have eight Kenyans in their ranks.
The other Kenyans at the club are; Jentrix Shikangwa, Corazone Aquino, Carolyne Rufa, Elizabeth Wambui, Wincate Kaari and Ruth Ingosi.
In yet another transfer news, Harambee stars attacking midfielder Lydia ‘Ozil’ Akoth has penned a two-year deal with Yanga Princess - Simba Queens’ arch-rivals.
Akoth’s move comes after she impressed during her six-month loan deal with the Tanzanian club from Kenyan giants Kenya Police Bullets.
The 2023/24 WPL Most Valuable Player (MVP)’s move to Yanga was confirmed by her agents, Salient Sports Management.
“After spending the second part of the 2024-25 season on loan at Yanga Princess, we would like to confirm that our client and the 2023-24 season FKF Women Premier MVP Lydia Akoth will permanently join the Tanzanian side from Kenya Police Bullets FC.
Nicknamed Ozil, the versatile midfielder will officially join her new home from 1st of August 2025 for a period of two years," confirmed the agency.
