Vihiga headed into the match in top form, having won their previous two matches, a 3-0 victory over Bungoma Queens and a 3-0 win over Kibera Soccer Women.
Kisped,on the other hand, had a poor start to the season, having lost their first two games against Zetech Sparks and Ulinzi Starlets respectively.
Vihiga began on the front foot and broke the deadlock inside the first minute, as red-hot Martha Amunyolete connecAlice delivery from Alice Mideru to give Vihiga the lead.
The Harambee Starlets forward was back at it again in the fourth minute with her second of the day and her fifth of the season.
Buoyed by the two goal lead, Vihiga kept pushing and once again found the back of the net in the seventh minute.
Amunyolete was at the end of a Noel Shilachilo ball to grab a hat-trick - the fastest this season.
Kisped would later grow into the game, gaining more possession and defending better, but the best they could do was to prevent further goals before the half time whistle.
Amunyolete picked from where she left upon restart, as she was on the scoresheet again in the 54th minute.
12 minutes later, Airine Madalina, for the third successive match, registered her name on the scoresheet, connecting well to an Anita Namata assist.
With plenty of time still to play, Amunyolete was not yet done as she netted in the 86th minute after being set through by Morine Eseri.
Following the win, Vihiga reclaimed the place on top of the league with nine points and a goal difference of 11.
Meanwhile, Amunyolete shot to the top of the goals coring chart, with eight against her name. Madalina boasts of four goals to her name.
Interestingly, the duo are responsible for all the 12 goals scored by the Vihiga-based outfit.
