
Stars Abroad: Juma scores and assists as Onyango and Oduor progress in FA Cup

Masud Juma continued his impressive form in Lebanon, scoring once and providing an assist as his club Nejmeh SC thrashed Al Ahed 4–0 in a league match played on Saturday afternoon.
Juma, who started alongside compatriot Anthony Akumu, set up Ali Kassas for the opening goal just before halftime to give Nejmeh a 1–0 lead at the break. The Kenyan striker then got on the scoresheet himself on the hour mark, converting from a Khalil Bader assist to double the visitors’ advantage.
Mohammed Sadek made it 3–0 in the 90th minute before Benjamin Boateng added a fourth in stoppage time to complete the rout. The result lifted Nejmeh to the top of the table with a perfect record, having won all six of their league matches this season to collect 18 points. They next host Jwayya on November 8.
In South Africa, Harambee Stars goalkeepers Ian Otieno and Brian Bwire both started for their respective clubs, Richards Bay and Polokwane City, in a Premier Soccer League clash that ended 1–1.
Polokwane took the lead in the 31st minute through Mokibelo Ramabu, but Gabadinho Mhango rescued a point for Richards Bay four minutes from time with a penalty. After 11 matches, Polokwane sit sixth on the table with 16 points, while Richards Bay are 12th with 12 points.
In England, Clarke Oduor was introduced in the 10th minute for Grimsby Town and played a key role as they beat Ebbsfleet United 3–1 in the first round of the FA Cup.
Charlie Seaman gave the visiting team the lead in the 34th minute before Ebbsfleet were reduced to ten men after Ben Chapman’s red card. Danny Rose scored twice and Cameron McJannet added another in the second half to seal the win.
Still in England, Harambee Stars prospect Tyler Onyango started and featured for 75 minutes as Stockport County defeated Tranmere Rovers 3–1 in the FA Cup.
Jack Diamond opened the scoring early before Patrick Omari equalised, but Oliver Norwood and Nathan Lowe struck to send Stockport through to the next round.
In Scotland, Stars striker Jonah Ayunga came off the bench in the second half as his club St Mirren demolished Motherwell 4–1 in a Scottish League Cup playoff.
Mikael Mandron netted a brace, with Dan N’Lundulu and Richard King also on target, while Callum Hendry scored a consolation for the hosts.
