The win, achieved at County High School in Garissa, sealed their place in the upcoming National Term Two Games set to kick off on Tuesday in Kakamega.

Garissa now complete the eight-team boys’ football lineup that will vie for national glory and qualification to the East Africa Games, scheduled for August 14–23 at the same venue.

Elsewhere, Wajir’s D.M. Amin School asserted their dominance, successfully defending both their basketball 3x3 and netball titles.

In girls’ basketball 3x3, they defeated Takaba Girls 9-4 in the final after thrashing NEP Girls 20-1 in the semis.

Takaba had earlier seen off Rhamu from Mandera 6-4.

Wajir High School clinched the boys’ basketball 3x3 crown with an 11-7 win over Takaba. All basketball 3x3 finalists have qualified for the national games.

D.M. Amin continued their fine form in netball, edging out NEP Girls 18-16 to maintain their grip on the regional title.

In volleyball, Furaha Secondary School and Eldas Girls Secondary School emerged champions.

Furaha outclassed Darul Hikma Day High School from Mandera County 3-1 (25-15, 25-23, 20-25, 25-19) to return to the national stage.

Eldas, meanwhile, came from a set down to beat Darul Hikma 3-1 (23-25, 25-22, 25-12, 25-18), earning their maiden national appearance.
