MOFA appoint Bruno as new head coach

Michael Olunga Football Academy (MOFA) have unveiled Charles Bruno as their new head coach ahead of the 2025/2026 National Super League (NSL) season.

Bruno joins the ambitious side from Kisumu All Stars, where he began his coaching career two seasons ago and earned praise for his attacking brand of football.

We are delighted to announce the appointment of Charles Bruno as the new Head Coach of MOFA FC,” read a statement from the club's official communication channel.

Bruno is widely known for his free-flowing style of play, a philosophy that aligns seamlessly with MOFA's own footballing identity.

He is also credited with nurturing young talents into standout performers at Kisumu All Stars.

A vision MOFA, who, are owned by Harambee Stars captain Michael Olunga, shares deeply within its community-driven model.

“A passionate tactician with a proven track record of developing talent and building competitive squads, Coach Bruno joins us at a pivotal time in our journey,” the club said.

His philosophy aligns deeply with our mission to develop holistic, globally competitive footballers through sport, education, and character.”

Bruno replaces former Mathare United and Tusker defender Lloyd Wahome, who guided the club to a respectable top-ten finish last season.

The former Sony Sugar defender now takes the reins with a clear mandate , to finally steer the White Rhinos to the elusive Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL), a goal that has narrowly eluded the club over the past two seasons.

Following the appointment, MOFA are expected to begin fine-tuning their squad for the new campaign, with over ten new signings anticipated.

The club recently released several fringe players at the end of last season as part of their squad overhaul.
