In a statement released through the club’s official Facebook page, the Murang’a-based side confirmed the arrival of the experienced former international, describing the move as a show of intent ahead of the new season.

"We’re proud to welcome Osborne Monday to the MSeal technical bench. A seasoned midfielder with an international pedigree, Monday has worn the Kenyan colours with pride, featuring in 27 matches for the Harambee Stars as a dependable anchor in midfield.

He has also competed at the very top of the local and regional game. Now, he brings that wealth of experience, leadership, and football intelligence to guide the Seal on our next chapter.

This is more than an appointment; it’s a statement of intent. With Monday on board, we are sharper, stronger, and hungrier than ever,” read part of the club’s statement.

According to sources close to the club and privy to Mozzart Sport, Monday has been appointed assistant coach, deputising Don Otieno, who continues to serve as acting head coach following his elevation after the club mutually parted ways with coach Yusuf Chipo in August.

The move comes barely months after Monday parted ways with Shabana FC, where he worked as an analyst and was credited with contributing to the Kisii-based side’s impressive fifth-place finish last season.

A two-time FKF Premier League champion with Tusker and Sofapaka, Monday brings a winning mentality into the Seal camp. His arrival also adds to the club’s recent restructuring, which last month saw former Harambee Stars defender Dennis Odhiambo join the technical staff.

Monday, who holds a CAF B coaching license, is expected to play a pivotal role as Murang’a Seal aim to improve their fortunes in the new campaign.

The side only narrowly escaped relegation last season, securing their top-flight status on the final day with a dramatic 1-0 win over FC Talanta.
