Barely three months after pulling a great escape in the relegation dog fight, FKF Premier League side Bidco United has embarked on a massive squad overhaul, parting ways with 14 players as the club seeks to chart a fresh path ahead of the new season.

The Thika-based outfit, which secured survival on the final day of last season with a hard-fought 2-1 win over Sofapaka at Ruaraka Grounds, confirmed the exits in a move seen as a statement of a rebuilding strategy.
Among the headline departures is former AFC Leopards and Sofapaka midfielder Said Tsuma, who leaves Bidco after two seasons.
Tsuma, who previously featured for Bandari FC, has returned to the Mombasa-based club in what is expected to be a significant boost to their midfield.
Also departing is experienced defender Evans Maliachi, formerly of Sofapaka and Nairobi United, who has completed a switch to newly promoted APS Bomet FC.
Fast-rising defender Eugene Ikutwa has joined 12-time champions Tusker FC, while goalkeeper Daniel Odiwour has moved to KCB FC.
In midfield, Jacob Onyango, Simeon Nyamwaya, and Kevin Musamali have found new homes at Mathare United, Kenya Police, and Shabana FC, respectively.
The list of released players is further highlighted by the goalkeeping duo of Fred Munyendo and Malvin Nderitu, alongside experienced figures such as David Orem, Henry Onyango, Tevin Omutere, and John Owira.
"The club would like to confirm the departure of the above players and extend its appreciation for their contributions during their time here. We wish them success in their future endeavours,” read part of the club’s statement.
The mass clear-out mirrors head coach Anthony Akhulia’s earlier remarks that the club would prioritise recruiting from the lower divisions in a bold attempt to build for the long term.
Akhulia, who also serves as the Kenya U20 assistant coach, has emphasised the need for fresh energy and untapped talent to drive Bidco’s resurgence.
Already, the club has been strongly linked with Gituru FC forward Collins Akite and Leeds United (Kenya) attacker Herman Ngala, as the management looks to blend youthful prospects with experience in pursuit of a stronger campaign.
