The round, which is the final set of fixtures for the year, got underway on Saturday when KCB FC fell 3-1 to Shabana FC. Sunday then delivered three encounters, with Tusker FC edging APS Bomet 1-0 and Bandari FC seeing off Mathare United by the same scoreline.
The fixture between Nairobi United and Gor Mahia at Dandora was abandoned following violent scenes.
Kakamega Homeboyz vs Kenya Police FC (3 PM)
The standout fixture of the day takes place at Bukhungu Stadium, where Kakamega Homeboyz host defending champions Kenya Police FC.
Both sides will be keen to bounce back after suffering narrow midweek defeats. Homeboyz went down 1-0 to Gor Mahia, while Police FC were handed a similar loss by Murang’a Seal FC.
In the standings, Police sit sixth with 21 points from 12 matches, while Homeboyz are eighth on 20 points after 13 games.
Last season at Bukhungu, Homeboyz claimed a 2-1 victory over Police, a result that briefly slowed the champions’ title charge before they eventually lifted the trophy.
Sofapaka FC vs Kariobangi Sharks (3 PM)
At the Kasarani Annex, attention shifts to a relegation battle as 17th-placed Sofapaka take on bottom-side Kariobangi Sharks.
With survival at stake, the match is crucial for both teams. Sofapaka have 12 points, while Sharks are just one point behind.
Batoto ba Mungu are enduring a torrid spell, having gone six matches without a win, losing five and drawing one. Sharks have also struggled but received a timely boost in midweek after beating Bidco United, only their second win of the season, reigniting hopes of climbing out of the danger zone.
Last season, Sofapaka won the first meeting 2-1, with the return leg ending in a goalless draw.
Ulinzi Stars vs Posta Rangers (3 PM)
Struggling Ulinzi Stars will be aiming to halt their slide when they welcome an in-form Posta Rangers side.
The Soldiers are currently 15th on the table with 13 points, hovering just above the relegation places on goal difference, and are desperate to avoid another season-long survival fight.
Posta Rangers, meanwhile, are enjoying a solid campaign and sit seventh with 21 points, just three behind leaders Tusker FC, and will be eager to close the gap at the top.
Last season, Ulinzi won the first leg 2-1, while the reverse fixture ended in a 1-1 draw.
Mara Sugar FC vs Murang’a Seal FC (1 PM)
In Awendo, Mara Sugar FC face Murang’a Seal FC in a clash that promises plenty of intrigue.
Seal arrives with the longest unbeaten run in the league, having gone eight matches without defeat. However, six of those games ended in draws, leaving them just two points above the relegation zone.
Mara Sugar, on the other hand, have shown resilience against top sides, winning two of their last three matches, away against Mathare United, at home against Kariobangi Sharks, and holding Shabana FC to a draw in Gusii.
Last season, both league meetings ended in draws, while Seal edged Mara Sugar 1-0 in the Mozzart Bet Cup third-place playoff.
