The result took The Brewers momentarily top of the league standings
Second-half substitute Dennis Oguta scored the only goal for Tusker as they beat APS Bomet 1-0 to momentarily climb top of the FKF Premier League standings.
Oguta, who joined The Brewers early last year, took just minutes to score the decisive goal, following his introduction to replace striker Erick Kapaito.

The former Harvest of Hope midfielder read a long punt from goalkeeper Brandon Obiero, before beating APS Bomet custodian Bob Cetric to send his effort into the net.
The goal, which was Oguta's first since scoring against Kariobangi Sharks in late October, gave Charles Okere's side their seventh victory this season, and took their tally to 24 points, one clear of then leaders Gor Mahia, who were playing later on Sunday.
Hosts Bomet, meanwhile, stumbled to their seventh defeat of the campaign, remaining firmly in the relegation picture in 16th place.
Tusker came into the tie with a bitter taste in their mouths, following their poor midweek show against Nairobi United, a performance that saw their brief winning run halted, but also raised question marks about their goalkeepers, with Obiero the latest to mess it up.
Okere, in doubling down on his trust with the former Sofapaka number one, maintained him in the starting 11, and got the due reward as he led his side to a cleansheet victory.
Kapaito, making his first start since shaking off a groin injury, was the first to threaten Bomet inside 10 minutes as he exchanged neat passes with Dennis Oalo, but ended up shooting wide.
Obiero, on the other end, was put to task by Hansel Ochieng, making an easy save, before Oalo blazed from distance after being being set up by Thomas Omolle.

YES BOY!!!
Didn’t take long did it?
Just few minutes after coming on, Oguta reads Brandon’s long ball perfectly and beats the keeper to it, brushing it into the net! 1-0! pic.twitter.com/gJJarlCnTa
It was only after the break that Bomet's resistance was broken, Oguta breaking clear to latch onto an Obiero punt, to give Tusker the advantage with only nine minutes remaining.
After a hiccup, Okere and his boys found a way to end the year on a high, while Bomet will be staring down the barrel after a second defeat in four days.
