Sitting fourth on the 18-team log, the defending champions are firmly focused on whittling down the gap at the summit when they take on Bidco in a rescheduled league fixture.
Victory would move them within two points of the league leaders Gor Mahia and just one behind second-placed Kakamega Homeboyz, strengthening their quest to defend the title they clinched so emphatically last season.
Police enter the match in buoyant form, riding a two-match unbeaten run that has yielded maximum points from back-to-back victories over Mathare United and Tusker FC.
The Law Enforcers will be seeking a third straight win as they look to build early-season momentum, having defeated Tusker FC and Mathare United in the build-up to Wednesday's encounter.
The arrival of head coach Dusan Stojanović, who took charge on Sunday, 2 November, has witnessed a change in fortunes in their performances.
The Serbian tactician has overseen three wins in four outings since his appointment and now sets his sights on extending that streak.
Speaking ahead of the showdown, Police assistant coach Habbib Hussein emphasised the importance of maintaining their newfound rhythm.
"It’s a good run, but we are taking one game at a time. We look forward to keeping the winning momentum. Football is a marathon, and we have to be cautious,” said Hussein.
Assistant captain Aboud Omar echoed the call for consistency, noting that dropping points could prove costly in the title race.
"If you want to win the league, you have to win all your matches. We slipped against Gor Mahia, and it was a lesson. We now want to win all our remaining fixtures and take charge of the table,” Omar told the club's media.
However, Police will not expect a walkover. Bidco United arrive in Nairobi seeking to arrest a troubling slump in form that has seen them go four matches without a win, with three of those ending in identical 0–0 draws against APS Bomet, KCB FC, and Bandari FC, alongside a narrow loss to Tusker FC.

The slump has seen the Thika-based side drop to fifth on 13 points, six off leaders Gor Mahia, despite a bright start to the campaign.
Head coach Anthony Akhulia has expressed concern over his side’s lack of potency in the final third, an issue that has hampered their progress.
"We have four matches without scoring, which is a worrying trend. It is something we really need to address as it has been our main undoing,” Akhulia lamented.
Bidco have managed only five goals all season and have gone four straight matches without finding the back of the net, a dip in form they must overturn if they are to threaten Police.
Recent history favours the champions. In 15 meetings between the two sides, Police have won nine, Bidco have managed three victories, while a similar number of matches have ended in draws.
Last season, the Law Enforcers completed a commanding league double over Bidco, winning 3–0 in the first leg and 2–0 in the reverse fixture.
Police FC are aiming to consolidate their dominance, extend their winning run to three matches, and close in on Gor Mahia, while Bidco United are seeking to break the monotony and end their four-match winless streak.
The 3:00 PM clash promises to be a thrilling encounter
