Federico Redondo, 21, could be joining Bayern Munich as the Germans are looking for a modern defensive midfielder

There's no chance you missed seeing his father's masterful performance at Old Trafford back in the day. Every now and then, those Champions League highlights re-emerge on X, proving how remarkable and skilled Fernando Redondo actually was. His dribbles, pace, and assists against mighty Manchester United still stand as one of the best individual performances ever seen at the Theatre of Dreams.

The mesmerizing Argentine midfielder retired in 2004 after a series of harmful injuries, but now it's time for another Redondo to show up on the biggest stage. That is 21-year-old Federico, the son of Fernando, currently plying trade at Argentinos Juniors.

However, the father's son has already attracted the attention of several European giants, and according to Sport Bild, Bayern Munich are seriously interested in signing the skilful defensive midfielder.

Redondo's contract at the Argentine side expires at the end of the year, whilst he is also currently valued at €9m. Bayern are said to see big potential in the midfielder and showed their initial interest in the winter. If Munich are to make a move for the 21-year-old, it could be after the current season's end.
