The Kenyan suffered the setback during his team’s Championship fixture against Wrexham on Saturday, 28 February, forcing him to miss The Addicks' last three games this month.
Sichenje’s injury, which was only confirmed after the aforementioned game, was attributed to his heavy load of fixtures, which saw him step in in place of injured teammates Reece Burke and Luke Berry.
Giving a slight update on his injured players ahead of the Norwich game, Charlton coach Nathan Jones said: “The squad is looking very good, we're getting a few closer.
After this game we have a two-week break where we can look to get as many players as we possibly can back for the final push."
A few hours later, Sichenje popped up on the list of those who will be unavailable for the game, joining the aforementioned pair of Burke and Berry, plus Harvey Knibbs, Matty Godden, and long-term absentee Josh Edwards, who is expected to miss the rest of the season.
Based on Jones’ evaluation, it is only likely that Sichenje, who joined Charlton in January from Serbian side FK Vojvodina, will get back to action in early April, when the Championship returns.
The former AFC Leopards man was not named in Benni McCarthy’s side set to play two international friendlies later this month, giving him more time to recover.
Up until his injury, Sichenje had started one game for Charlton - a 1-1 draw against Southampton that saw him awarded as the club’s man-of-the-match - before making two substitute appearances immediately afterwards.
