The former striker is appealing for more support from their supporters

Kakamega Homeboyz head coach John Baraza admits that their home performance has the potential to induce a disconnect between the team and the rich fan base.

Homeboyz have won once in front of the home fans whom a vast majority who rarely accompany the team for away matches in which the team has been doing fairly well.

Apart from last year’s 4-2 win over FC Talanta, Abana Abeingo have failed to capitalize on home comfort and skin any other visitor alive.

To restore confidence and hope in the home fans, Baraza is plotting for Posta Rangers downfall when the two teams meet this Saturday afternoon at the Bukhungu Stadium.

The former Mara Sugar tactician intends to give the fans something to celebrate about by guiding the team to a convincing win over the mailmen and continue their march to the top.

Its been a while since we won a home fixture even though we have dominating in all the matches we have played at our backyard. Our fans have been faithfully playing their part but at the end, we fail to make them happy. We have to do something starting from this weekend when we host Rangers,” he said.

Heading to the Rangers duel, Baraza is calling on the fans to turn up in droves and pain the stands in yellow colours, their favourite for home matches.

The former Sofapaka gaffer pledged to whip his boys to deliver a performance that will warrant applauses and standing ovation at the end.

I appeal to the fans to turn up on Saturday and back the team. The deafening sounds from the stands will push the boys to execute the tact and ultimately, bag the three points. We are hosting a team that has good players and the support from the extra man will go a long way in pushing us to get a win,” added the former striker.
