Just like a majority of FKF Premier League clubs, Leopards have been overhauling their squad in each window, with the number of signings sometimes going beyond 10 and parting ways with an almost similar quota of players during the off-season transfer window.

However, this is about to change in the coming window, where the club will have reduced activities as revealed by Boniface during an interview with NTV, where he appeared alongside his elder brother and Leopards coach Fred Ambani.

“If we go overboard in the next window, we will sign a maximum of four players because we have already identified the areas that need improvement,” said Boniface.

Boniface, who played as a striker for Ingwe, disclosed that the club is narrowing on potential signings as a way of commencing early preparations for the off-season transfer window.

“Each single day, we are looking at players with the right attributes to bring on board. We are not going to do an overhaul; we will get the right players in the right positions.”

The former Young Africans (Yanga) striker also revealed the changes that he has initiated at the club, noting their importance in the collective goal of ending their 28-year wait for a league title.

“We are working towards winning the title. There were so many things that were not going right when I got into office, and so we had to sort them out first.

From players’ discipline to office and office staff matters, I had to ensure that everyone was aligned. We started the league on a low note, but I knew that with the players we had and the ones we signed, we would get back on our feet,” he remarked.

The 43-year-old went on to credit the players' improved welfare for the surge in performance this season.

“Currently, we have worked on morale in terms of ensuring salaries and allowances are paid on time.”
