An amazing racist outburst by a Paraguayan senator raised France on its feet

The true lovers of football were disappointed by the Paraguay performance against France. Against the far superior opponent a defensive tactics was quite logical and legitimate, but the Paraguayans just ‘killed‘ football with their constant fouling, rolling on the grass and lack of wish to attack at all. After the 1-0 win, Kylian Mbappe, who was the constant victim of Paraguayan's defenders was enjoying himself and didn‘t want to shake hands with keeper Orlando Gill. And that enraged the Paraguayan senator Celeste Amarilla, who posted a stunning racist statement on her social media account. An statement, which involved the head of states from both countries!

This brute hasn't even learned to write' before hurling racist insults at the superstar. You should've shown him the finger, Orlando Gill; I do it in the senate and nothing happens!!! Instead of breast milk, he sucked on coconuts, and the most educated beings he had ever heard were chimpanzees. A colonized Cameroonian, pretending to be French, resentful, nouveau riche, arrogant and ugly. He was nervous and terrified throughout the match, like his entire team. They didn't even manage to score a single goal; they won by sheer luck... The only thing many of us criticize Albirroja for is not giving them a good slap at the end of the match. And yet, I'm not even a football fan“ she wrote.

A stunning attack shocked the world and Kylian Mbappe didn‘t wait long to Celeste Amarilla, posting her photo in response.

Madame Celeste Amarilla, You are a despicable woman and unworthy of your position. You do not represent Paraguay, that country which has sweated passion and honor throughout the competition. Through your recklessness and your brazen racism, the entire world has already forgotten the journey and the historic effort that your players accomplished during this World Cup, making way for an incompetent woman who gives the worst possible image of her country. I will never allow people like her the freedom to spread their hatred and racism across the world“ wrote Mbappe.

Soon everybody joined in. The French Football Federation reacted and indicated that it had made a report to the public prosecutor‘s office. French President Emmanuel Macron also reacted.

"The President of the Republic supports Kylian Mbappe and the French national team in the face of the racist attacks to which the captain of Les Bleus has been subjected. The Paraguayan President has written to the French President to this effect, condemning the remarks that were made, as has the Paraguayan Ministry of Foreign Affairs" reads the president‘s statement.

The Paraguayan government also condemned Amarilla‘s statement.

The Government of the Republic of Paraguay deplores and rejects the statements made by Senator Celeste Amarilla, directed at the captain of the French national team, Kylian Mbappe, which are contrary to the values and principles that inspire peaceful coexistence and respect for human dignity that our country promotes. The Government of Paraguay reaffirms its firm commitment to promoting human rights, equality, and respect among all people, and to combating racism, xenophobia, intolerance, and all forms of hatred or discrimination. It also expresses its solidarity with those who may have been affected by these statements and reiterates its respect for the French people, with whom Paraguay maintains a long-standing relationship of friendship, cooperation, and mutual understanding“.
