The second Dubai Sevens tournament takes place this weekend 3-4 December
The men’s national rugby 7s side, Shujaa, will have to quickly get back in shape for their next Series outing after the pools of the second Dubai 7s tournament scheduled for this weekend 3-4 December were announced.
Fresh from finishing in eighth place in the 2021/2022 season opening leg that was held in Dubai, Shujaa have been pooled against USA for the second time in a row, Australia and Canada in Group B.
In the first tournament, USA overcame a poor showing on day one as they grabbed silver after finishing behind champions South Africa on day two as Australia claimed fifth place. It is only Canada who finished behind Shujaa in the group as they settled for eleventh in the first tourney.
Favourites South Africa are in Pool A and will face off with Great Britain, Ireland, and Japan. The final pool C consists of Dubai 7s Bronze winners Argentina, Fiji, France, and Spain.
