The match will be a repeat of last weekend’s Driftwood 7s finale that saw KCB edge the students 15-14.
Defending champions Strathmore Leos were in no mood for upsets as they swept aside CUEA Monks 40-0 in a dominant semifinal display.
The Madaraka-based outfit, who came into the tie as favourites, stamped their authority early, racing to a commanding 28-0 lead at halftime.
Victor Mola opened the scoring with a converted try before Nygel Amaitsa powered through the defence for another, also converted.
Elton Amalemba extended the lead with a try under the posts, and Mola added his second with a stunning solo effort that showcased his blistering pace.
In the second half, Amalemba completed his brace after a quick tap-and-pass move, with Brian Mwenda slotting in the conversion for 35-0.
Samuel Wafula then finished off the rout with a late try, securing Strathmore’s place in yet another final this season.
KCB edge out Menengai Oilers
In the other semifinal, KCB had to dig deep to overcome a spirited Menengai Oilers side 10-5 in what was a tightly-contested encounter.
Samuel Asati gave the Bankers an early advantage with a quick-tap try, handing them a slim 5-0 lead at the break.
Oilers, cheered on by their home fans, struck back after halftime through Samwel Mwaura, but Denis Abukuse’s conversion attempt veered wide, leaving the scores tied at 5-5.
With the game seemingly headed for extra time, Vincent Ongala stepped up with a moment of brilliance, slicing through the Oilers defence for the winning try.
The result sets up a thrilling finale between two of the circuit’s in-form sides, while Menengai Oilers will battle Kabras RFC in the third-place playoff.
