Oloo believes female side Kenya Lionesses will post improved results in Tunisia after taking part in 'one of the best training camps'
Felix Oloo, the Kenya Rugby Women’s Sevens Team head coach, has cut a confident figure ahead of his team’s engagements away in Tunisia where Kenya Lionesses are scheduled to play in the Rugby Africa Women Sevens solidarity camp over two weekends starting from 1st May.
Lionesses, who have recorded underwhelming performances in their last two competitive training camps in Madrid, Spain and Dubai, have been in an eight-day camp at the Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani where Oloo feels the team has made massive strides forward in their game.
“This has been one of the best training camps we have had this year and I believe there will be improvements in Tunisia. There is a tremendous improvement in fitness as well as their recovery and I am very positive that we will fly the flag high in Tunisia. Having a referee at the camp has also been very beneficial to us because as we were training he was able to advise us on the areas we need to work on and the areas where we’re executing perfectly. NOCK also scheduled a mental health session with the team and this has played a big role in building the team’s morale at the camp,” he said.
