Kubu included in Shujaa 27-man squad for Malaga, Seville 7's

In the Malaga 7s, Shujaa has been pooled alongside France, Canada and Wales in Pool D.
The Kenya national men’s sevens side, Shujaa have revealed their 27-man squad for the upcoming HSBC World Sevens Series and have entered a bio-secure bubble at the Kasarani Sports Stadium.
Shujaa are stepping up their preparation for the Malaga and Seville legs with head coach Innocent Simiyu naming his squad that includes a number of fresh faces.

Fijian-born Jone Kubu who is also part of the Kenya 15’s side has been drafted alongside his Simbas teammates John Okoth, Timothy Okwemba and Derrick Ashihundu.
Benson Salem, Arcadius Khwesa, Zedden Marrow and Hannington Wabwire who impressed during the 2021 Safari Sevens Tournament have also been included in the squad.
Simiyu is also beefing up his options ahead of the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham and Rugby World Cups 7s in Cape Town in July and September 2022 respectively.

The team went into camp on Monday 3 January and will break just before departing for Spain for the two legs as they hope to improve on their eight placed standing.
